Gamma Centauri

γ Centauri (Gamma Centauri, short γ Cen ) is an approximately 130 light-years distant binary star consisting of two nearly 3 mag bright A0 stars. For the resolution of the binary system a telescope of at least 15 centimeters lens opening is necessary.
The double star wearing the proper name Muhlifain (Arabic محلفين, DMG Muḥlifayn, " star on the one stores the oath "). This proper name he shares with γ Canis Majoris.
