Gamma Corvi

γ Corvi (Gamma Corvi ) is a star of spectral type B8 at a distance of about 165 light years. With an apparent magnitude of 2.6 like he is the brightest star in the constellation Corvus.

The star bears the proper name Gienah Gurab (Arabic جناح الغراب Janah Al Ghurab "wing of the Raven " ) or even Gienah, sometimes supplemented to Gienah Corvi to distinguish it from the same star in the constellation Cygnus.
