Gandhi Peace Prize
The International Gandhi Peace Prize ( original: Gandhi International Peace Prize ), named after Mahatma Gandhi, is an Indian National Award.
It is awarded annually since 1995 by the Indian government to individuals or organizations that have distinguished themselves through their outstanding work and contributions to social, economic or political transformation processes by means of non-violence and other Gandhian means. The prize money amounts to 10 million (1 crore ) Indian rupees.
