Gang of Eight (intelligence)

The Gang of Eight ( dt gang of eight ) is a colloquial term for the eight members of the U.S. Congress, which must be informed by the U.S. President on CIA activities and findings. They each consist of the Majority Leader and the Minority Leader of the Senate and the House of Representatives and the chairmen and deputy chairmen of the intelligence committees of the Senate and House of Representatives.
