Gantrisch

The gantrisch is a 2175 m high mountain in the Bernese Oberland in Switzerland. It is eponymous for the Regional Natural Park gantrisch, which went into operation in 2011.

Directly east is adjacent to the acme of the gantrisch Nünenenflue ( 2,102 m asl. ); the gap between them is called Leiterepass. And just to the west of it are the Bourguillon ( 2,165 m above sea level. M. ) and the oxen, who with 2,188 m above sea level. M. is slightly higher. But the gantrisch is the most famous peak in this region and gives it its name.

At the Gantrisch includes the east by the Stockhornkette and in the north the Gurnigel. To the south, the Simmental; in the west the upper Sense district.

With its unspoiled nature, the Gantrisch is a popular hiking and skiing area. About the southwest is a walking path to the summit; the steep eastern flank can be committed on a via ferrata since 2007.
