Garland Grange

Arthur Garland Grange ( born December 2, 1906 in Forksville, Pennsylvania, † 28 May 1981 in Miami, Florida), nicknamed " Gardie " or " Pinkey " was a US- American football player and coach. He has played as an end in the National Football League ( NFL) for the Chicago Bears.

Youth

Garland Grange was born as the younger brother of Red Grange in Forksville. Born as a child, a foreman of a lumberjack camp Grange initially grew up in Pennsylvania. He had two other brothers. After his family had moved to Wheaton, Illinois, his father police chief in the city was. Playing career

Gardie Grange studied from 1925 at the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign. In 1929, he was hired by the Chicago Bears, who were coached by George Halas. In the same year, the Bears were able to bind also to the Red Team. After three years in Chicago Garland Grange finished his career with the Bears and was player-coach of the St. Louis Veterans and the Memphis Tigers. Both teams did not belong to the League.
