Garth Nix

Garth Nix ( born July 19, 1963 in Melbourne) is an Australian author. He was known primarily for his fantasy novels of the series The Old Kingdom.

Life

Garth Nix was born in Melbourne. When he was one year old, his parents moved with him and his brother to Canberra, where he also grew up. He studied at the University of Canberra, where he made his degree in 1986. After that he worked as a bookseller and publisher.

Garth Nix ' first short story called Sam, Cars and Cuckoo was published in 1984. In 1990 his first novel, The Ragwitch. His books have sold more than 4.5 million copies and been translated into 36 languages ​​.

Garth Nix lives with his wife Anna and his two sons in a suburb of Sydney.
