Gary Hannig

Gary Hannig ( born July 22, 1952 in Litchfield, Illinois) is an American politician.

After graduating from Mount Olive High School Hannig studied at the University of Illinois. His studies he finished with the degree of Bachelor of Science. On 10 January 1979 he took over from Junie Bartulis in the House of Representatives from Illinois for the 98th District. Prior to his retirement from the House of Representatives, he was Deputy Leader of the Democratic majority faction ( Deputy Majority Leader ).

In February 2009, Governor Pat Quinn Hannig appointed Minister of Transport of the State of Illinois.

Hannig is Roman Catholic and married to Betsy Hannig, who has approached his successor as MP.
