Gast Waltzing
Gast Waltzing (sometimes also mentioned as Gaston Waitz Ling or Gaston Waltzing; born August 13, 1956 in Luxembourg ) is a Luxembourgian music professor, trumpeter, conductor and composer. Waltzing was known as the composer of numerous theme songs for television and movie productions.
Life and work
At the age of seven he attended the Conservatory in his hometown of Luxembourg. Later, he studied music at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles and at the Paris Conservatory.
In 1982, he became a music professor at the Conservatory of Luxembourg. With its jazz -oriented band Largo, he appeared in many European countries and in Asia, and has released the albums Fables of Lost Time (2003 ) and Long Journey ( 2005).
Waltzing runs his own music production company with the Waltzing Parke Records ( WPR ).
In the Rockhal in Luxembourg Waltzing in 2010 conducted the German Radio Philharmonic Orchestra in a concert of Amy Macdonald, for which he wrote music for the symphonic implementation.
