Gaudenzio Marconi

Gaudenzio Marconi (often Guglielmo Marconi, but not to be confused with the inventor to see this Guglielmo Marconi ) (* March 12, 1841, † 1885) was a Swiss photographer.

He was known for his artistic nude photographs. These photographs were used as a template for the work of famous artists such as Auguste Rodin.

Marconi was born in French-speaking Switzerland, the son of Italian -born parents. He played a role in the development of early photography. In the late 1860s, he enrolled as a photographer at the École des Beaux -Arts in Paris. He specialized in nudes. Very often took his models doing poses, which were taken of paintings or sculptures.

In the 1870s, he moved to Brussels, where he continued his work.
