Geert Verheyen

Geert Verheyen ( born March 10, 1973 in Diest ) is a former Belgian cyclist.

Career

Geert Verheyen began his career in 1994 in Flanders in 2002, where he continued for four years. He then moved to Lotto. There he was at first the Grand Prix de la Ville de Lillers decide for themselves. In the following year, he even won a stage in the Route du Sud. In 2001 he moved to Rabobank and triumphed in the German -day race Luk Cup in Buhl.

In 2003 he drove for Wincor- Nixdorf - Marlux, where he again wrote a stage of the Circuit Franco -Belge on his account. After a year at Landbouwkrediet - Colnago 2006 he changed to the Belgian ProTour team Quick Step. In the 2008 season he drove for Mitsubishi Jartazi, after which he returned to Landbouwkrediet.

End of the 2011 season, he finished his career as a professional cyclist.
