Omega Pharma-Quick Step

The Omega Pharma- Quick-Step Cycling Team ( formerly Quick Step Cycling Team, Quickstep Davitamon or Quickstep Innergetic ) is a Belgian cycling team based in Luxembourg.

History

The UCI ProTeam emerged from the former team Domo - Farm Frites and Mapei.

On June 8, 2008 Quick Step left the union of professional teams AIGCP. It justified this step by the massive differences in budgets and standards between the professional teams; currently, however, the team is a member of AIGCP.

One of the greatest successes of the victory of the overall World Cup in 2003 and 2004 by Paolo Bettini and the victory in the Tour of Flanders and Paris -Roubaix 2005 by Tom Boonen. Boonen won Paris -Roubaix in 2008, 2009 and 2012 again.

In November 2010, the operating company Esperanza bvba announced that Zdenek Bakala, a Czech investor, and Bessel Kok, a Dutch businessman, the majority of the shares have taken over and have pledged a liquidity guarantee for the next three years.

At the end of the 2011 season, the team was Lotto pharmaceutical fused to the omega, where it was originally, that the operating company of the team Omega Pharma-Lotto, Belgian Cycling Company sa, the management of the joint team would take over, but the joint team does not assume only the majority of the riders and staff of the Quick Step Cycling Team, but also changed its name under the address of the operator Esperanza bvba.

At the start of the 2014 season Patrick Lefevere has established the company that operates under the name Decolef lux sarl in Luxembourg.
