Martin Velits

Martin Velits (born 21 February 1985 in Bratislava) is a Slovak cyclist.

In the junior race Trofeo Karlberg Martin Velits won the sprint 2003. Then he started in 2004 at the Slovak cycling team Dukla Trencin Merida. 2005 drove Velits for the South African Continental team Konica Minolta. In his first season there he was, among others, each sixth at the Clasica Memorial Txuma and in the overall standings of the Ringerike Grand Prix. 2007 Martin went along with his twin brother Peter Velits at the only German Professional Continental Team Wiesenhof - Felt. As of the 2008 season, the brothers started at ProTeam Milram. For the 2010 season, he moved along with his brother Peter Velits for Team Columbia- HTC and after its closure in 2012, the Omega Pharma- Quick Step.
