Nikolas Maes

Nikolas Maes ( born April 9, 1986 in Kortrijk ) is a Belgian road racing cyclist.

Nikolas Maes in 2002 in the youth class Belgian champion in the time trial. In the junior he won the 2004 overall ranking of the Rochester van Zuid- Limburg, a stage of the Route de l' Avenir and he finished third in the Ronde van Vlaanderen. The next year he won the Grote Prijs Joseph Bruyère and 2006 he was at the Circuit du Hainaut successful. End of the 2006 season he rode as a stagiaire for chocolate Jacques- Topsport Vlaanderen, where he was awarded a professional contract for the following season. 2009 Maes won a stage of the Vuelta a Burgos. Since 2010, he drives for the Belgian ProTeam Quick Step. for which he in 2013 with the overall ranking of the two-day stage race World Ports Classic scored his biggest success so far.
