BMC Racing Team

The BMC Racing Team is an American cycling team based in Santa Rosa.

The BMC Racing Team was founded in 2007 and received a UCI Continental Team license as, with which it participated mainly to race in the UCI America and Europe Tour. Manager is Lelangue. The main sponsor BMC is a Swiss bicycle manufacturer from which the team is also provided. For the 2008 season they were upgraded to the Professional Continental team. Prominent recruits, most notably World Champion Cadel Evans and former world champion Alessandro Ballan, allowed to participate in the big spring classics and the Giro d' Italia and the Tour de France. Since 2011 the team has a ProTeam license and is therefore entitled to and compulsory for all races of the UCI World Tour. In the 2011 Tour de France Cadel Evans won the 4th stage for the team and could, ultimately, the overall rating to decide for himself, which he marked the biggest success so far the team's history.
