UCI World Tour
The UCI World Tour is one from 2011, organized by the International Cycling Union UCI series of major one-day and stage races.
The UCI World Tour is the next series of failed in the conflicts between the organizers of the Grand Tours Tour de France, Giro d' Italia and Vuelta a España on one side and on the other side of the UCI ProTour. It combines the former ProTour race with the race of the historical calendar of the opposition to the ProTour organizers, who had previously been summarized on a transitional basis in the UCI World Calendar 2009 and 2010.
Participants are the most UCI ProTeam licensed. In addition, UCI Professional Continental teams may be invited by the respective organizers of a race. In individual races also a national team of the host country is eligible to participate.
