Gene Grossman

Gene Michael Grossman ( born December 11, 1955 in New York) is an American economist and professor of economics at Princeton University.

Career

In 1976, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Yale University. He received his Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT ) to Doctor of Philosophy of Economics. In 1980 he was appointed assistant professor at Princeton and in 1988 full professor of economics. His research focuses on international trade, and in particular the relationship between economic growth and trade, and on the political economy of trade policy. He belongs to the 100 best RePEc economists in the world.
