Genova & Dimitrov

Genova & Dimitrov is a German piano; the full names of the two pianists loud Aglika Genova and Dimitrov Liuben.

History

The duo was founded in the fall of 1995 in Hannover. In the same year it won the Bellini Music Competition in Caltanissetta, 1996 ARD Music Competition in Munich and the Tokyo Piano Duo Competition, Finally, in 1997 the Dranoff Piano Duo Competition in Miami.

The two Bulgarian-born artist of Greek descent were five years old her first piano lessons. They were trained in special music schools for talented children and had nine years of their first public appearances with orchestra. They continued their solo studies at the Music Academy in Sofia in GANEV. Since 1993, the artist will work closely with Vladimir Krainew together at the Musikhochschule Hannover. There she completed her final exams to graduate concert soloists.

Genova & Dimitrov played at the EXPO 2000 and at the opening of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games in Salt Lake City. The duo was invited to the Schleswig -Holstein Music Festival, Rheingau Music Festival, at the Ludwigsburg Festival and Schwetzingen Festival, the Music Festival Gstaad, MDR Music Summer Piano Festival La Roque d' Antheron, Ravello Music Festival, Music Festival of the Hamptons and Chopin Piano Festival ( Duszniki ).

Orchestra partner of the duo are the Radio Orchestra in Munich, Hanover, Kaiserslautern, Stuttgart Philharmonic, the New World Symphony, the Savannah Symphony, the Bulgarian National Radio Orchestra, the Sofia Soloists String Orchestra, Sofia Philharmonic, Beijing Symphony, the Moscow Symphony Orchestra, the Ukrainian National Philharmonic, Cape Town and Durban Philharmonic, Musica Viva Moscow, Minsk and the Polish chamber Philharmonic Orchestra. Conductor Eiji Oue were there, Ari Rasilainen, Alun Francis, Toshiyuki Kamioka, Leos Svarovsky, Wojciech Rajski, Robin Gritton and Alexander Rudin. In September 2006, Genova & Dimitrov joined with the NDR -Chor Hamburg in Lower Saxony Music days.

In addition, the duo participated in international television and radio productions. In August 2005 Aglika Genova and Dimitrov Liuben acted as judges of the ARD Competition in Munich. The artists also conduct master classes and workshops in the USA, Germany and South Africa.
