Georg Kieninger

Georg Kieninger ( born June 5, 1902 in Munich, † January 25, 1975 in Dusseldorf ) was a German chess master.

Life

Georg Kieninger learned to play chess at age 15. Since 1922 he was a professional chess player. In 1929 he won the Frankfurt city championship. In addition to his tournaments he secured an extra income as a journalist. Between 1931 and 1934 he played three matches against the champion players Ludwig Engels, who were his chess development of great benefit.
