George A. Castor

George Albert Castor ( born August 6 1855 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, † February 19, 1906 ) was an American politician. Between 1904 and 1906 he represented the State of Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

George Castor attended the public schools of his home. He then worked in the garment industry. He went into the tailor shop and operationally successful Dressmakers in New York City, Boston and Philadelphia. Politically, he joined the Republican Party. In 1892, he sought unsuccessfully to have their nomination for the congressional elections. For 15 years he was a board member of his party in Philadelphia.

After the death of Mr Henry Burk Castor was at the due election for the second seat of Pennsylvania as his successor in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he took up his new mandate on 16 February 1904. After a re-election, he could remain until his death on February 19, 1906 in Congress.
