George Galbraith

George Galbraith ( born December 16, 1955 in Pembroke, Ontario ) is a former Canadian- Danish professional ice hockey goaltender and current coach, who works as a goalkeeping coach for the Danish U18 national team since 2008. His son Patrick is also a professional hockey player.

Career

George Galbraith began his career as a hockey player in the team of Clarkson University, where he was active from 1973 to 1976 in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. Then the goalie went to Europe, where he was 1977-2001 a total of 24 years for the first team of Vojens IK in the Danish AL-Bank Ligaen and the second Danish Hockey League between the posts, before he finally at the age of 45 years with the active Hockey ceased. During his playing career, the versatile player was occasionally as a striker for use and has been with his team three time Danish champion (1979, 1980 and 1982). In addition, he was elected in 1980 to the player of the AL-Bank Ligaen year.

In the seasons 1997/98, 1999/2000 and 2002/ 03 Galbraith was responsible in each case as interim coach for the Vojens IK. From 2008 to 2010 he was a goalkeeper coach of the playing in the Division I U18 national team of Denmark.

Internationally

For Denmark Galbraith participated in the C World Cup 1986, and the B- World Cup 1994 part.
