George Nicol (athlete)

George Nicol (born 28 December 1886 in Battersea, London Borough of Wandsworth, † January 28, 1967 in Brighton ) was a British sprinter.

At the Olympic Games in London in 1908 he reached the semi-finals in the 400m.

In 1912 he resigned over the same distance at the Olympic Games in Stockholm again in the semifinals and won with the British team bronze in the 4 x 400 - meter relay.

In 1913, he was with his personal best time of 49.4 s English champion over 440 yards.
