George Sachs

Georg Sachs (also: George Sachs, born April 5, 1896 in Moscow, † October 30, 1960 in Syracuse (New York)) was a Russian-born German and American Metallurg.

He taught at the University of Frankfurt (1930-1935) and at the Case Institute of Technology. Sachs was of Jewish descent and left Germany in 1937 with his family to flee from the Nazis. They emigrated to the United States. He was the father of the astronomer Rainer Kurt Sachs
