George Steele

William James Myers ( born April 16, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan ) is a former American professional wrestler. He became famous mainly at the then market leader World Wrestling Federation under the ring name George " The Animal" Steele. Today he is a member of the WWE Hall of Fame.

Career

Before Wrestling

Myers studied at Michigan State University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. He received his master's degree from Central Michigan University. James Myers was physical education teacher and coach of the football team at the Madison High School in Michigan. For 25 years he coached the team, the last 12 as head coach.

Wrestling
