George Stout

George Frederick Stout (GF Stout ) ( born January 6, 1860 in South Shields, † August 18 1944 in Sydney) was an English philosopher and psychologist.

George Frederick Stout studied and taught philosophy and psychology at Cambridge University. He was from 1891 to 1920 editor of the philosophical journal Mind. He was 1899-1904 president of the Aristotelian Society. His students included GE Moore and Bertrand Russell. He also taught at the University of Aberdeen, the University of Oxford and the University of St Andrews.

George Frederick Stout died in 1944 in Australia.
