Georges de la Chapelle

Georges de la Chapelle (* July 16, 1868 in Farges- Allichamps; † August 27, 1923 ), full name is Luc Henri Hervé Guy Gardye de la Chapelle, was a French tennis player around the turn of the century from the 19th to the 20th century.

He won the bronze medal in doubles tennis at the Summer Olympics in Paris in 1900. He was defeated by his compatriot André Prévost in the semi-finals against the subsequent silver medalist Basil Spalding de Garmendia and Max Décugis in two sets 2:6, 4:6. In the individual competition, the Frenchman did not compete.
