Georges Hausemer

Georges Hausemer ( born 1 February 1957 in Differdange ) is a Luxembourgian writer and translator, who also used the pseudonym Theo Selmer.

Life

After attending high school in Echternach he studied until 1980, French and journalism in Salzburg and Mainz and has since been working as a freelance writer and publishing staff. He undertook numerous study trips to Africa, Latin America, Asia and southern Europe and was a member of the Writers' Union Cassandra Thing. His reports and essays appeared among others in the FAZ, NZZ, SZ and the Luxemburger Wort. In the 1980s, he translated numerous science fiction books for the Heyne into German.

He was a founding member in 1986 of the Luxembourg Union of Writers and forwarded it for several years. He published alongside literary texts, guides, reports and non-fiction books such as the over the controversial nursing scientist Erwin Böhm. In 2006 he was editor of the Luxembourg lexicon, the current reference work for Luxembourg culture.
