Gerald Eugene Wilkerson

Gerald Eugene Wilkerson ( born October 21, 1939 in Des Moines ) is auxiliary bishop in Los Angeles.

Life

The archbishop of Los Angeles, Cardinal James Francis Aloysius McIntyre, ordained him priest on 5 January 1965.

Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop on 5 November 1997 in Los Angeles and Titular Bishop of Vincennes. The archbishop of Los Angeles, Cardinal Roger Mahony, Michael, donated to him on January 21st of the next year, the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were Michael Patrick Driscoll, Auxiliary Bishop of Orange in California, and Joseph Martin Sartoris, Auxiliary Bishop of Los Angeles.
