Gerald Willfurth

Gerald " Gerry " Willfurth ( born November 6, 1962) is a former Austrian football player (midfielder ). From 2005 to 2008 he was the athletic director at the 1st SC Wiener Neustadt.

Gerry Willfurth was four times Austrian champion (1982 - 1983, 1987 - 1988) and Cup Winners (1983 - 1985, 1987) with SK Rapid Wien.

Career

Willfurth began his career at ASK Bad Fischau. In 1981 he moved to Rapid Vienna, where he 4 times Austrian Champion and 4 time Cup winner was until 1989. Another great success was reaching the finals in the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1984/85, where Rapid lost to Everton 3-1. Overall Willfurth denied 204 Bundesliga games for SK Rapid Wien. From 1989 to 1993 Willfurth played for SV Austria Salzburg ( 2 times Vice Champion in 1992 and 1993), before joining ASK Bad Fischau again. In 1996 he moved to ASK Kottingbrunn, 1997 SC Eisenstadt, where he continued his active career ended in 1998.

Between 1983 and 1991 it brought Willfurth to a total of 30 inserts for the Austrian national team and three gates.
