Gerhard Kerschbaumer

Gerhard Kerschbaumer (* 1991 in Brixen ) is an Italian mountain bikers from Verdings ( Klausen). He is a multiple national cross-country champion and was a participant at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Career

Kerschbaumer began his career in 2000 at the Radsektion of SV St. Lorenzen, where he rode along until 2009. In 2009, he drove his first professional race at the Cross Country Junior World Cup in which he scored a best result a second place. In the same year he was Italian Cross Country Mester. In 2010, he won his first U23 World Cup race in Pietermaritzburg. In 2011, he won four of seven races, securing thereby the overall World Cup victory. In 2012 he won one of seven U-23 World Cup races and finished the season with a second place overall. In the same year he took part in the Olympic Games in London. At the race in Hadleigh Farm, he finished 13th place. He drives currently (2013 ) for the TX Active Bianchi team.
