Gerhard Mayer

Gerhard Mayer ( born May 20, 1980 in Vienna) is an Austrian discus thrower, who won at the Universiade 2007.

Mayer starts for the SV Schwechat. He was from 2001 to 2011 eleven times in a row Austrian champion in the discus throw. At the European Championships in Gothenburg in 2006, he finished 15th place. In 2007 he won in Bangkok at the Universiade with 61,55 m. His best jump was 62.85 meters in 2005. This length he arrived at the 2008 Halle throwers days with 62,67 m and 62,75 m in Zeulenroda with pretty close.
