Gerhard Prautzsch
Gerhard Prautzsch ( born September 25, 1941 in Rochlitz ) was 1958-1969 football player at Dynamo Dresden and later coach of various football teams.
Soccer player
Prautzsch began with the football game at the native BSG Motor Rochlitz and came across the SPAs structure in Klingenthal as youth players to Dynamo Dresden. He held his sports community until the end of his active career loyalty. Between 1959 and 1960 he was employed in seven international matches of the GDR national junior team. In 1962 he completed for the first time with the men's team of Dresdner a league game. At this time, Dynamo Dresden made to get out of the lowlands of East German football, but enough quality in 1962/ 63 is not yet for the league in the DDR - Oberliga, so Prautzsch, who this season 24 out of 26 possible Oberliga inserts had graduated as a left-back, had to spend one more year in the second division. It was only in 1964 succeeded the dynamo to establish itself for several years in the big leagues. Only after a further year in the second-rate DDR -Liga in 1968/69 Dynamo Dresden rose to become a top team in the East German football. Football coach
With the start of football season 1969/70 the now trained as a certified physical education teacher at the Leipzig Sport University DHfK ) Prautzsch began at Dynamo Dresden to work as youth coach. In 1973 he was assistant coach of Walter Fritzsch, he replaced the 1978/79 season as head coach. He took over the team as DDR - football champion, but not succeeded over five seasons to repeat this success. His only title he won in 1982 at the finals of the East German Football Cup when his team was able to defeat the former series champion BFC Dynamo on penalties. A year earlier, he fell at the sports officials in Dresden and Berlin into disrepute when his three players Peter Kotte and Matthias Müller and Gerd Weber were excluded in the context of Weber's Republic of escape plans from the team. As Dynamo Dresden only reached a disappointing 7th place in the 1982/83 season and was previously already eliminated in the first round of the European Cup Winners' Cup against the Danish team of B.93 Copenhagen, Prautzsch was released on June 30, 1983, to second-class SG Dynamo Eisleben added. There he took over in the 1984/85 season the training of the first men's team, with the result that Eisleben, previously placed well in the years in DDR -Liga, with rank 15 could only save just before the descent. In the late 1990s he worked as a coach at FC Eintracht Schwerin in the fourth division football league northeast.
