Gerry Breen

Gerry Breen (* in Clontarf ) is an Irish politician and served from June 2010 to June 2011 Lord Mayor of Dublin.

Breen grew up in the suburb of Clontarf dublin. He attended the Belgrove National School Coláiste Mhuire and the. He then studied at the University College Dublin, where in 1979 he received a Bachelor of Commerce.

Breen belongs since 1981 to the Fine Gael. In 1999, he was first elected to the City Council of Dublin ( Dublin City Council ). 2004 and 2009 was his re-election. June 2010 he was elected as the new Lord Mayor of Dublin ( Lord Mayor of Dublin), triggering from Emer Costello. Until his election as mayor he had been since 2004 Head of the Fine Gael Group in the Dublin City Council.

Breen is married and has three daughters.
