Gerry Davey

John Gerald " Gerry " Davey ( born September 5, 1914 in Barking, UK, † February 12, 1977 in Orange County, Florida, United States) was a British ice hockey player and umpire, in 1936 with his compatriot Olympic champion among others.

Career

Gerry Davey emigrated as a child with his family to Port Arthur, Ontario, from. There he learned to play hockey at the Elmwood Midgets. As a teenager, he returned in 1931 returns to its British home and played in the aftermath of the Princes Club, Queen's Club, Streatham and the Wembley Lions. He spent part of his career, also at the Falkirk Lions in Scotland. During World War II he served in the Canadian Navy. In later years of his career he was regularly served as an arbitrator in the English National League.

Internationally

For the UK, Davey participated in the European Championship in 1932 at the World Championships in 1934, 1935, 1937 and 1938.
