Gertrud Heinzelmann

Gertrud Heinzelmann ( born June 17, 1914 in Wohlen; † 4 September 1999 Benglen, community Fällanden ) was a Swiss lawyer and women 's rights activist.

Life

Gertrud Heinzelmann attended the Gymnasium of Higher Girls' School in Zurich. She studied law at the University of Zurich and received his doctorate in 1942. Subsequently, she worked as a lawyer.

From 1956 to 1976 she was the Corporate Executive Committee of the Swiss Association for women's suffrage, she 1959/60 presided. From 1963 to 1976 she was director of the " office against official and voluntary association " in the Migros Cooperative Association.

1962 called Heinzelmann with a petition to the Second Vatican Council Gender Equality in the Catholic Church and the ordination of women. In 1964 she founded the publishing Inter Feminas, which publishes frauenrechtlerische writings. In 1972, she was appointed to the Synod of the Diocese of Chur 72.

Gertrud Heinzelmann was in 1981 with the Binet - Fendt Prize and in 1991 was awarded the Ida- Somazzi price.
