Getmail is a mail retrieval agent, which was developed as a simple alternative to fetchmail and is written in Python. It can fetch mails by POP3 and IMAP4 servers that support SSL, filters, mbox and Maildir.

Getmail is Free Software released under the GPLv2. Main developer is Charles Cazabon.
