GetSimple CMS

GetSimple CMS is a free web content management system with the primary goal to be simple and easy to use. It is based on the programming language PHP and uses XML files to store the content. This is in contrast to other CMS software, the mostly used databases.

History

GetSimple CMS was created in 2009 by the resident of Pittsburg in the USA web developer Chris Cagle, who still heads the project as lead developer. Description

GetSimple CMS was created for smaller websites. The target groups of the CMS are organizations, companies and individuals who need a small to medium size website on the order of 10 to about 500 pages. According to statistics from the W3C tech CMS of less than 0.1 % of all websites will be used. The largest market is to date the Czech Republic.

A simple installation process ( copying the files to the web server and start the installation routine ) allows the immediate work with the program. Some web hosts offer the CMS already preinstalled. On the specialized demo installations page OpenSourceCMS.com GetSimple was one of the 30 most common and best -rated systems (as of 2013).

The German-speaking Community was dedicated as the only language besides English, a separate area on the official forum.
