The Ghaghara ( Sanskrit: " murmur of water ," Hindi: घाघरा Ghaghra [ ɡ ʱ ɑ ː ɡrɑ ː ]; also Ghaghra, formerly anglicised Gogra ) or Karnali ( Nepali: कर्णाली Karnali [ kʌrnɑ ː li ː ] ) is a left tributary of the Ganges. It rises in the Tibetan plateau on the glacier of Gurla Mandhata, which lies to the south of Lake Manasarovar, crosses the Himalayas and Nepal, and finally flows into the Ganges.

The Ghaghara is the longest river in Nepal and, just ahead of the Yamuna, the largest tributary of the Ganges. At the headwaters in Nepal the river is called Karnali, in India it is called Ghaghara.
