The T 1 is a two-axle narrow gauge railcar wagon factory in Dessau for Gernrode - Harzgerode Railway Company (GHE ).

History

The GHE procured these railcars in order to make passenger on the Selketalbahn rational. Its main application field were the routes Alexisbad - Harzgerode and Alexisbad - stairs. With its 34 seated and 10 standing passengers, however, he was just too small and it serves no seats only as equipment cart. Even in the last years of the GDR came the T 1 on the list of long-term preserved railway vehicles. In 1988 was begun the railcar of rehabilitating in order to use it for special trips can. In 2001 he received a new engine, as used in the truck W50. The Harz narrow gauge railways put back the railcar 2007 by the fix. Only in 2010, after a two-year stay in the Meiningen Steam Locomotive Works, the T 1 returned with another paint again in the use of the park back.
