Gianluca Luisi

Gianluca Luisi (born 1970 in Pescara ) is an Italian pianist.

Life

After he had completed his piano studies at the Conservatory " Giacomo Rossini " in 1991 with the distinction "summa cum laude", he began an active concert career, which took him across the European countries also to USA and regularly to Japan. He has appeared at the invitation of major music groups and festivals throughout Europe and has performed at Carnegie Hall in New York and in Vienna at the Musikverein. After winning the European prize for piano teaching, he began his own teaching at the Piano Academy of Imola.

Since 2011, Luisi has been artistic director of the " Nuova Coppa pianistic " Piano Competition in Osimo.

Gianluca Luisi is Bösendorfer artist.

Work

Gianluca Luisi has a wide repertoire of piano from all eras, including the complete piano works of JS Bach. Luisi has recorded 16 CDs for the labels Naxos, MDG, OnClassical and Centaur ( JS Bach " The Well-Tempered Clavier ").
