Gildo Insfrán

Gildo Insfrán ( born January 19, 1951 in Laguna Blanca, Formosa Province) is an Argentine politician. Since 1995 he has been Governor of the province of Formosa.

Life

For his party Partido Justicialista he could in 1983 into parliament Formosa. In 1987 he became vice governor of the province under Governor Vicente Joga. Two periods of office later he presented in 1995 to the successful gubernatorial election. His lieutenant governor was the 42nd Governor of Formosa ( 1983-1987 ), Floro Bogado. Insfrán even the legal restriction of the number of terms that had picked up, which is why he was accused by his predecessor before the Supreme Court of Argentina, as it utilizes a separate law to his advantage. In November 1998 Insfrán was legally empowered to provide for the election period 1999-2003 for re-election. Controversial he could win the election in September 1999. The election in 2003, he won and his vice Bogado superior with 71.8 percent. The elections in 2007 and 2011, he won with 75 % and 76 % of the electorate votes.

Family

He is divorced and has two daughters. His 17 -year-old son committed suicide in 2003.
