Giles Goschen, 4th Viscount Goschen

Goshen is the son of John Alexander Goschen, 3rd Viscount Goschen and his second wife Alvin England. He went to the Heatherdown Preparatory School and Eton. 1977 at the age of eleven, he inherited the title from his father. Goschen was during the tenure of John Major from 1992 to 1994 Lord -in- Waiting and 1994-1997 Secretary of State for transportation. With the passing of the House of Lords Act 1999, he lost along with all other Erbpeers ( Hereditary peers) the automatic seat in the House of Lords. However, he was chosen as one of 92 selected Erbpeers that remained after the reform in the House.
