Giovanni Scognamillo
Giovanni Scognamillo ( born April 25, 1929 in Istanbul) is a Turkish film critic and actor who belongs to the municipality of the Levantine.
Life
Scognamillo was born into a family of Italian - Greek origin; his father, Leone was the son of an immigrant from Naples, and his mother came from the Genoese settlers from Tinos. Since his father was manager of the cinema theater Elhamra Sineması of Beyoğlu, Giovanni was inaugurated early in the cinema world. After he had completed the high school Liceo Italiano, he began to write articles for various media cinema Italian. Until 1961, he began his career in the Turkish press.
Scognamillo is the author of several books on the history of cinema, as well as various topics such as magic and divination. 2014 he works as an editor on the Turkish film at the Bahçeşehir University. In addition, he had also made some appearances as an actor in Turkish film productions.
