Giovanny Báez

Giovanny Manuel Álvarez Báez (born 9 April 1981) is a Colombian cyclist.

Giovanny Báez won a stage of the 2004 Vuelta a Venezuela. The next year he was successful on portions of the Vuelta a Leon, Semana Aragonesa and Cinturó de l' Empordà. In the latter tour he was also the first in the overall standings. In 2006 he drove for the cycling team atom, where he won the Circuito de Combita and a stage with the Clasica Appreciation Club Deportivo Boyacá. Since 2007, Baez continues for the Colombian Continental Team UNE- Orbitel. Was in his first year there he won a stage of the Vuelta al Valle and the Clasica Internacional Ciudad de Anapoima, and could in both races and the Appreciation decide for themselves.
