Girolamo dai Libri

Girolamo dai Libri (* 1474 or 1475 in Verona, † July 2, 1555 ) was an Italian illustrator of manuscripts ( miniaturist ) and painter of altarpieces. His works belong to the early Renaissance.

He worked mainly in his native city of Verona. His father was Francesco dai Libri, which was so named because he illustrated books. As an art historian and biographer Giorgio Vasari described Girolamo images. Girolamo was a pupil of Domenico Morone. Dai Libri recorded his first altarpiece, the Deposition of Christ for the church of Santa Maria in Organo in Verona at the age of sixteen.
