Giudicato of Logudoro

Torres was one of the four medieval Judikaten in Sardinia. It was in the northwest of the island and bordered on Gallura in the northeast, Arborea in the west and Calari (Cagliari ) in the south and southeast. Like the other Giudicati also, Torres was ruled by judges.

The giudicato Torres entered the field of view of history, when Emperor Frederick II for his son Enzio there intervened.

After the death of Mariano II, Justice of Torres, his daughter Adelasia de Lacon - Gunale was 1236 Judge. She was married to Ubaldo Visconti, judge of Gallura. After Visconti's death she married in October 1238 Enzio, the then Judge of Torres, and was appointed in 1239 by his father to the king of Sardinia, without affecting the Giudicati were abolished. The marriage was divorced in 1246.
