Giulio Ascoli

Giulio Ascoli ( born January 20, 1843 in Trieste, † July 12, 1896 in Milan ) was an Italian mathematician. To him also the set of Arzelà - Ascoli is due.

Ascoli ended 1868, the school in Pisa. From 1872, he taught algebra at the Polytechnic of Milan.
