Giuseppe Venanzio Marvuglia

Giuseppe Venanzio Marvuglia ( born February 6, 1729 Palermo, † December 19, 1814 ) was an Italian architect of the late baroque and early classicism.

From 1747 to 1759 Marvuglia studied in Rome where he won second prize in 1758 the competition of the Accademia di San Luca. 1759, he returned with a neoclassical influenced education back to Sicily.

He taught at the Università degli Studi di Palermo from 1780 to 1805, where he held the Chair of " Practical Geometry, Civil and Hydraulic Architecture ", which was founded in 1779 within the Faculty of Arts.
