Givi Chokheli

Givi Tschocheli (Georgian გივი ჩოხელი, Russian Гиви Дмитриевич Чохели; * June 27, 1937 in Telavi, † February 25, 1994 in Tbilisi ) was a Soviet football player and football coach.

Club career

Tschocheli played from 1955 to 1969 at Dinamo Tbilisi. In 1964 him with his Georgian home club even the title in the Soviet Union. He ended his club career in 1969.

International career

Tschocheli participated in the European Football Championship in 1960 partly in France and won with the Soviet selecting the title. In 1962 he took part in the World Cup in Chile. In the quarterfinals, the Soviets dropped out against hosts Chile. Overall, he played 19 times for the Soviet Union.

After the active career

After end of his career he became a coach at Dinamo Tbilisi in the youth department and later as head coach. After his coaching career and until his death Tschocheli official and Scout was the Georgians. Tschocheli died on 25 February 1994 in Tbilisi.
