Gladys Castelvecchi

Gladys Castelvecchi (* November 26, 1922 in Rocha, Uruguay; † 28 May 2008) was an Uruguayan writer.

Castelvecchi worked for two decades as a literature professor. However, they had during the ruling civil-military dictatorship in Uruguay give up this activity, was imprisoned during this time in prison from Punta de Rieles and but was discontinued after the restoration of democracy. She has published numerous works from 1965, including 1965 No más que el sueño cierto and 1983 and three years later moved into its second edition and by the literary critics Rosario Peyrou and Graciela Mantaras presenting accompanied Fe de remo. In literature competitions, she acted as a juror. Moreover, both Castelvecchi worked for various media outlets in the print media as well as in the field of radio and TV as a cultural journalist. Castelvecchi, 1947 the writer Mario Arregui married, with whom she had four children, was the mother of Vanina Arregui.
